Inter have officially announced the extension of Aleksandar Kolarov’s contract until June 2022.

The Serbian defender arrived at the Nerazzurri ahead of 2020-21 and was part of Antonio Conte’s Scudetto winning side.

His future with the club seemed to be uncertain, but the club has now announced he will stay at San Siro for another year to work under new coach Simone Inzaghi.

“FC Internazionale Milano announce that they have reached an agreement to extend Aleksandar Kolarov’s contract,” the club wrote in a statement.

“The Serbian defender, born in 1985, will wear the Nerazzurri shirt until June 30, 2022.”

The former Lazio and Roma left-back arrived from the Giallorossi on a free transfer in September 2020 and played 11 competitive games for the Nerazzurri in 2020-21.

Kolarov, who has experience from a, played once in the Champions League and seven times in Serie A last term, contributing one assist in the process.
