Juventus have officially signed Portuguese defender Tiago Djaló from Lille at a cost of €3.6m plus up to €3.1m in bonuses.

The player flew in late last night and underwent his medical tests this morning.

As expected, the cost of the operation was confirmed at €3.6m payable over three instalments and another €1.5m in add-ons.

There are further bonuses of a maximum of €2.6m if certain sporting conditions and objectives are achieved.

Tiago Djaló has put pen to paper on a contract that runs to June 2026.

According to Fabrizio Romano, there is also a clause allowing an extension to June 2028.

He was available for this fee because his contract with LOSC was running down at the end of the season and he has not played yet this term due to knee surgery in March 2023.

Inter had been in advanced negotiations with the player, but were only prepared to snap him up as a free agent, whereas Juve stepped in with a cash offer for Lille.

Tiago Djaló is no stranger to Italy, having spent a brief period at the Milan youth team in 2019.
