Alessandro Florenzi has officially extended his Roma contract, signing on until 2023.

The Italian international’s current deal was due to out at the end of the season, and talks have been ongoing for weeks to extend it.

Inter and Juventus had been linked with a move for the versatile full-back, but this evening the Lupi have confirmed that he's signed a new contract.

"AS Roma are delighted to announce that Alessandro Florenzi has signed a long-term contract extension with the club," a statment on the Giallorossi's website confirms.

"The 27-year-old, a product of the club’s academy system, has agreed to a new contract that will run until 30 June 2023."

According to the Sky, Florenzi has signed a contract which runs until 2023, agreeing on a salary of just under €3m per season, which can be topped up with bonuses.
