Newly-promoted Serie A side Cremonese have officially announced Massimiliano Alvini is their new coach after Fabio Pecchia walked away.
The club is back in the top flight for the first time since 1995-96, finishing second in the Serie B table behind Lecce.
Monza also earned promotion via the play-offs and that will be their first ever Serie A campaign.
Despite securing this achievement, Cremonese coach Pecchia decided to step down and has taken on a new challenge at Parma.
Instead, Alvini terminated his contract by mutual consent with Perugia and signed for Cremonese.
