Cagliari have officially announced the appointment of Eusebio Di Francesco as their new head coach on a contract until June 2022.
The former Roma coach has officially replaced Walter Zenga at the Sardegna Arena.
“Cagliari Calcio are pleased to announce to have entrusted the technical guidance of the first team to Eusebio Di Francesco,” a statement from the club’s official website read.
“The coach has reached an agreement that binds him to the club until June 2022.”

Di Francesco has been without a job since he left Sampdoria in October, having started the season with six defeats and one win, leaving the Blucerchiati at the bottom of Serie A.
