Sassuolo director general Giovanni Carnevali warns “Juventus aren’t the only ones” following Domenico Berardi.

The Italian Under-21 international was co-owned by the two clubs until last summer, with the Bianconeri selling their share of his contract in return for a buyback clause.

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta hinted this week that the Old Lady will sign Berardi, saying there is "a relationship of trust" with the Neroverdi.

However, the player’s agent has warned that there is only “a gentleman’s agreement” for his client to move to Turin, and he could move elsewhere if that’s what the player and Sassuolo decide.

“If Juventus want him then they’ll do the right thing,” Carnevali told Sky.

“The Bianconeri aren’t the only ones following him though. There are assessments to be done, and we’ll do them.

“For the moment we’re not thinking about the transfer market, there are still three games to go and we’re trying our best to overhaul Milan.”
