Sassuolo’s managing director Giovanni Carnevali says Juventus ‘aren’t the only team chasing Domenico Berardi.’

The Old Lady’s interest in the Italian starlet is no secret, but Barcelona sporting director Ariedo Braida has also been spotted at the Mapei Stadium recently.

Carnevali praised his relationship with Juve director general and ‘lifelong friend’ Giuseppe Marotta, and said he can ‘rule out’ any chance of a January sale.

"I go to dinner with Marotta often and willingly,” Carnevali told Tuttosport.

“One time I’ll pay, the next time he does – we are lifelong friends.

“Given our relationship of friendship, we often don’t even talk about football. Fortunately we also have other interests.

"I can rule out a January move, as that’s not part of our company policy.

“We already refused a move for Zaza in the winter window.

“For now Berardi is completely a Sassuolo player and we’re not a club that needs to sell.

“Last year, we invested €10m to fully release him. But with Juventus it’s an open discussion.

“It’s an advantage. But Juventus are not the only ones to be following Berardi.

“Braida? He has often come to follow our games and we are pleased that a club such as Barcelona is looking at our players.

“A trident with Morata and Dybala? They are three top-level young Europeans, it would be an incredible trio.

"I’ve never talked to Juve about Vrsaljko, in the summer we had several offers, but we wanted to keep him with us as he’s part of our future plans.”
