Milan’s Antonio Nocerino will come up against his past this weekend when the Rossoneri travel to Palermo.

The midfielder left the Stadio Barbera in the summer for just €500,000 given that he had a year left on his Palermo deal.

“I’m happy to be at a club like Milan, playing for the Rossoneri would be a dream for everyone, but if I am here then it is because of Palermo,” he told Milan News.

“Palermo gave me the opportunity to grow and I will always be grateful to the Rosanero and their fans who were always close to me.”

The 26-year-old has been a revelation at San Siro after scoring eight goals in 23 League games. He’d only netted six top-flight goals in his entire career during spells at Juventus and Palermo before 2011-12.

Meanwhile, there are whispers emerging from Sicily which are suggesting that Palermo may line up with a 3-5-2 system at the weekend.
