Antonio Nocerino has been a sensation for Milan this season and hopes “someone at Juventus is feeling regret at seeing me play like this.”

The midfielder scored against his former teammates in last night’s 1-1 draw at San Siro.

“What did this goal mean to me? You can see it in my celebration,” smiled Nocerino.

“I was so fired up and had this anger within me that I wanted to let explode. I spent 11 years at Juve before being set aside without much of an explanation.

“Fortunately I went to Palermo, where I was able to grow, and now I’m very happy at Milan. I’m convinced someone at Juventus is feeling regret at seeing me play like this.”

The 1-1 draw was packed with controversy, as Sulley Muntari’s header had crossed the line, while Alessandro Matri had a goal incorrectly ruled offside.

“We played a great game against a great team. In the first half we scored two goals and the match could’ve changed if we had gone 2-0 up.

“I still don’t understand how the referee and his assistants didn’t give the goal. We then continued and created more chances, but controlling the game with a two-goal advantage is a whole other situation.”
