Italy team doctor Enrico Castellacci reassures that striker Manolo Gabbiadini's injury does not 'cause concern', but that he will be 'monitored'.

The Napoli forward gave Coach Antonio Conte reasons to worry as he picked up an injury against Atalanta yesterday night, but the doctor has stressed it was a minor knock.

“Gabbiadini yesterday walked off the pitch for a pain in his left thigh and for some cramp,” Castellacci has reported, in his first medical bulletin.

“But we think that he can stay with us. We shall monitor him in the next few days because muscular problems always demand great attention, but there is no cause for concern, fortunately.”

Gabbiadini did take part in the afternoon training session, despite being monitored for his condition.

Conte himself reportedly spent some time under Castellacci's scrutiny, but the doctor saw that case as even less significant.

“Conte had a commonplace case of influenza, and he's recovering from it with exceptional speed.”
