The owner of the Wahaha Group had been touted to oust Thai investor Bee Taechaubol in the race to purchase Milan, but his statements on the social network Sina Weibo said there was nothing to these rumours.
“There's been no contact with Milan,” reads his statement. “We have no interest in entering the world of football, and even should we decide to buy a club, it would be a Chinese team.”
