If he had been found to have done so, he could have banned for two matches for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Today the Lega Serie A has released its disciplinary report having “examined the relevant television images” to “evaluate the voluntary nature of the gesture”.
It was found though that “the gesture was not one of certain voluntariness, considering the speed of the action and the ball”.
In addition, the board determined that there was “an obvious attempt to play the ball with the head, with an associated and not unnatural movement of the arm in relation to the momentum in striking the ball with the head”.
As such, the prosecutor resolved “not to take any disciplinary action against the player”.
Benevento goalkeeper Vid Belec was sent off for kicking M’Baye Niang, and he has been banned for three games as a result.
Fabrizio Cacciatore was dismissed for making handcuff gesture in the defeat to Juventus, and he’s been given a two-game ban for “blatantly disputing a refereeing decision with the handcuff gesture twice directed toward the main stand, detected by an assistant”.
Receiving a one-game ban for their red cards are Sassuolo’s Edoardo Goldaniga, Samir of Udinese, Cagliari player Fabio Piscine and Verona’s Samuel Bastien.
Verona striker Moise Kean, Nicolas Spolli of Genoa, Fiorentina’s German Pezzella, and Lazio pair Senad Lulic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic have been banned for one match after picking up a fifth booking of the season.
