“I know Udinese, they are ambitious and organised,” Nicola said at a press conference. “It will be a competitive team that have played well against everyone.
“They know how to defend themselves and have great players. It will be a tough and difficult game, and we must be ready for it.”
The Granata arrive from a good performance in the Derby della Mole, but Nicola pointed out that he wants to see ‘continuous improvement’ from his men.
“The derby is over, there has been proof that if we put down certain performances we can be competitive,” he said. “Continuous improvement is our goal.
“I asked the lads to focus on improvement. If there’s no consistency, there’s no improvement. We have to follow a path to get what we want.
“After a good performance, we need to put even more quality and attention into it. We look for this. We have 24 points, and we still have a long way to go.”
Antonio Sanabria has scored four goals in five Serie A games since his move to the Granata and Nicola was asked if the Paraguay international helps improve Andrea Belotti too.
“Everyone has their own qualities, there are many important players,” Nicola said. “I mention them all because I consider everyone.
“Sanabria knows how to interpret the space well, he can still improve, and he must have the desire to do so."
