Milan director Umberto Gandini admits it’s “very difficult” for M’Baye Niang to return before the end of the season.

The French forward was involved in a car crash over the weekend, sustaining an ankle injury which looks set to sideline him for at least two months.

“Could be be back before the end of the season?” Gandini considered in an interview with Rai.

“It’s very difficult, we’ll have to see what the treatment is and what the recovery time will be.
