Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati says the Coppa Italia final was “one of the objectives this season” and “we always believed”.
The Rossoneri crushed Lega Pro side Alessandria 6-0 on aggregate to set-up a showdown with Juventus or city rivals Inter.
“It was one of our objectives this season and we did it,” Abbiati told RAI after the match.

“We’re happy to have reached the final, now we’re thinking about the League which is very important for us.
“We’ve always believed, despite our initial difficulties. We’re trying to come back, but it’s not easy. We’re doing well though, and from tomorrow we start to think about Sunday’s game [at Sassuolo], which will be very difficult.”
