Kylian Mbappé and Neymar have been arguing about who should take penalties for PSG, and the same will likely happen tonight if the Ligue 1 giants are awarded a spot-kick against Juventus.

PSG host the Old Lady at the Parc des Princes tonight in the opening game of the Champions League Group H.

Christophe Galtier’s side are in good shape and share the top spot of the table in France with Igor Tudor’s Marseille with 16 points in six games.

However, there seem to be some issues between their stars Mbappé and Neymar, who hit the headlines in the last few weeks due to penalty kicks.

It all started on August 13 when Neymar took the ball from Mbappé’s hands, stepping up for the second penalty kick in a 5-2 win over Montpellier after his teammate had missed the first one.

Neymar found the net and did the same with the following two penalty kicks in league games, despite Galtier claiming Mbappé was the designated penalty-kick taker.

The Brazilian is likely to take a penalty kick tonight if his side are awarded one against Juventus, but a decision hasn’t been taken yet.

“We will see, there is always a discussion about that. We have to see it during the game. We haven’t decided. If the match shows that Neymar takes it, it is fine. If it’s me, it’s also fine. There is no issue there,” Mbappé said at a press conference yesterday.

Whoever eventually shows up on the spot will find Mattia Perin in front of him. The Italy international will replace the injured Wojciech Szczesny saved the last penalty kick against Fiorentina on Saturday, denying Luka Jovic.
