Newcastle United turned to Sandro Tonali, but Inter are not yet safe from Premier League bids for Nicolò Barella, as Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are still in the running.

The Nerazzurri fans breathed a sigh of relief when Newcastle abandoned their attempts to sign Barella and instead are close to a deal with city rivals Milan for Tonali at €80m.

However, FCInterNews.it warns that the summer is far from over and Barella will remain a target for Premier League sides.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has never disguised his admiration for the Italy international, but the biggest contenders for his signature could be Arsenal and Manchester United.

Considering Barella has more international experience and is older than Tonali, any offer is going to have to be superior to the sum Newcastle are giving Milan.

Arsenal reportedly see Barella as the next alternative if they fail to tempt Declan Rice from West Ham United.

Once again, Inter have no intention of selling and would only be ready to negotiate for a sum close to €90-100m.
