The Brazilian missed most of last term with a series of muscular problems and his appearance at the Trofeo Berlusconi on Sunday was his first San Siro match in six months.
The Rossoneri released a statement this afternoon confirming Pato had suffered “a problem to the left thigh” and will undergo tests over the next few days.
It is not clear how bad the damage is, but according to reports it could prompt Milan to run to the transfer market for potential back-ups.
