Giovanni Manna, who is widely expected to become the new sporting director at Napoli, was spotted entering and leaving the club’s training centre in Naples on Tuesday, while an official announcement draws ever closer.

The 35-year-old has spent the last five years with Juventus, overseeing the club’s under-19s and later under-23s, now known as Juventus Next Gen, as sporting director.

The Old Lady confirmed in an official statement earlier on Tuesday morning that Manna has officially left the club by mutual consent.

Football Italia reported back in April that Manna had reached a verbal agreement to become sporting director at Napoli, but it was widely expected that he would wait until the end of the 2023-24 season before officially making the move.
