There are reports Milan’s new Chinese owners are targeting Roma hitman Edin Dzeko, who was spotted in the city today.

President Silvio Berlusconi insists the club “has been sold,” although there could be delays of four to six weeks after the December 13 meeting to receive the proper authorisation from China.

According to Calciomercato.com, one of the first targets for the new-look Rossoneri will be Roma striker Dzeko.

The centre-forward is currently joint top of the Capocannoniere charts with Mauro Icardi, scoring 12 Serie A goals.

Dzeko was coincidentally in Milan today, spending his day off with friends Ervin Zukanovic and Aleksandar Kolarov.

Carlos Bacca is believed to be on the way out of San Siro as early as January, so the new club could turn to Dzeko instead.

The Bosnia international had a poor debut season in Serie A, but has now adapted to Italian football.
