The Serbia international has previously been linked with a move to big clubs like Atletico Madrid from La Liga and Manchester United in the Premier League.

Domestically, Napoli have allegedly been following his situation at the Artemio Franchi, and have, according to Tuttosport, prompted President Rocco Commisso to prepare a new deal until 2024 with an option of an additional year.

The 22-year-old has played 25 Serie A matches for the Viola this term, scoring three times in the process, and his performances in the heart of the defence at Fiorentina since the move from Partizan Belgrade has made him an attractive transfer target for the biggest clubs on the continent.

Milenkovic is currently tied to a deal until June 2022, but the report claims Commisso would like to stop the rumours by improving the existing deal.
