Alessandro Nesta believes foreign owners are only interested in ‘business’, and admits he’ll be backing Juventus tonight.

The former Milan defender gave his opinion on the state of the club, with rumours suggesting that President Silvio Berlusconi is ready to sell to Thai investor Bee Taechaubol.

“Milan are going through a tough spell,” Nesta told Sky.

“It’s still not known who the next President will be. There’s a period of confusion and the team is suffering. I hope everything will be resolved and the team gets back to winning.

“The Presidents of the past are gone. People like [Inter’s Massimo] Moratti and Berlusconi who invested for passion are gone.

“Now there are a lot of foreign investors, who it seems only come to Italy to do business, though I hope that’s not the case.”

Nesta made over 300 appearances for the Rossoneri during his time at the club, but says he’ll be cheering on rivals Juventus when they meet Real Madrid in the Champions League tonight.

“Tonight I’ll be supporting Juve, but it won’t be easy for them. If Juve play the way they can then it will be a spectacular match.

"[Juve’s Max] Allegri and [Madrid’s Carlo] Ancelotti are two great Coaches who are similar in some aspects: they both approach football in a calm fashion.”
