“We'll see a good game between two teams that like to play football,” Sebastiani told Radio Kiss Kiss. “It's going to be an open game, between a strong team like Napoli and a newly-promoted one that will try to bring out its qualities and surprise their opponents.

“It's not going to be easy, but we're going to try.

“For newly-promoted teams it's important not to dismantle or revolutionise the squad. It takes time to rebuild, and many mistakes are made when buying names.

“We've already had this experience and we don't want to repeat it.

“Napoli lost [Gonzalo] Higuain, but they have some important players. I consider [Manolo] Gabbiadini to be outrageously strong.

“We signed an experienced goalkeeper, reinforced the defence, and now we have to do something in the attack. But we still have 15 days. Everybody's waiting for the last day to strike deals.”

Finally, the president discussed the prospect of taking Grassi on loan.

“He's a player that interests us, one of the best youngsters around and Pescara would be the right place for him to find space.

“He would play here. If he's happy with not playing, clearly he can stay at Napoli.”
