This weekend’s Serie A schedule includes a huge clash at the top of the table and these Napoli vs. Inter predictions are for a game that could firm up the top four places. Napoli are celebrating their first Serie A title since 1990 and Inter are through to a first Champions League final since 2010.

Napoli vs. Inter odds

1 – A draw – 5/2

2 – Napoli under 2.5 total goals – 1/8

3 – Total goals scored under 2.5 – 10/11

4 – Both teams to score – 3/4

5 – A 1-1 draw – 11/2

Inter’s trip to Naples comes on the back of an incredible few weeks for both clubs, as Napoli clinched the Serie A title and Inter stormed past Milan to reach the Champions League final.

Napoli confirmed the title with a 1-1 draw against Udinese on May 4th and, as the party has rolled on, they have won one and lost one in Serie A. Inter’s schedule has been more hectic, with Simone Inzaghi’s side shutting out Milan across two semi-final matches to win 3-0 on aggregate and ease into the final.

Luciano Spalletti and Inzaghi can both be forgiven for their focus being slightly elsewhere in the run-in, with Inter also facing a Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina in midweek.

The busy run of games will force Inzaghi to rotate his squad and that could dent his five-game Serie A winning streak against a Napoli side which has lost just one of their last six league outings. A tight draw will not impact Napoli’s position, but it will force Inter to fight on in the top four race for at least another week of action.

Since winning the title, Napoli have scored just one goal in Serie A and Spalletti’s charges have not managed to score over 2.5 goals in their last eight league clashes. The last six have ended with under 2.5 total goals scored between both teams.

The picture at the top of Serie A looks to remain unchanged in the final few weeks, with Juventus able to confirm their place with a win over Empoli this weekend and Lazio and Inter almost over the Champions League qualification line.
