Napoli are reportedly looking at the possibilities of signing Chelsea player Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as the Partenopei continue to search for a new midfielder.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports Loftus-Cheek has emerged as a possible target for the Partenopei during the last days of the transfer window.

Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat and Sheffield United star Sander Berge have already been mentioned as Napoli targets this summer, but the newspaper claims Loftus-Cheek could be another possibility.

The report claims Napoli have not started negotiating with Chelsea, but Cristiano Giuntoli has identified the former England international as a possible reinforcement.

The 25-year-old struggled with playing time at the Blues and was on the bench for the full 90 minutes when Chelsea drew 1-1 against Liverpool on Saturday.

A product of Chelsea academy, Loftus-Cheek made his senior Chelsea debut in December 2014, replacing Cesc Fabregas in the final minutes of the Blues’ Champions League clash against Sporting CP at Stamford Bridge.

He has 12 goals in 82 appearances with the Premier League giants.
