Napoli Coach Rafa Benitez says his side should have beaten Roma, but admits ‘I’m not happy’.

The Partenopei went down 1-0 to Rudi Garcia’s side on Saturday, leaving them eight points behind Lazio in the third and final Champions League spot.

Napoli take on the Aquile in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tomorrow night, and the Coach says his side are better than they’re showing.

“You have to congratulate Fiorentina and Lazio, who are doing well,” Benitez said in his pre-match Press conference.

“We have to evaluate what is good and what isn’t, but don’t forget we have to play two games a week, and Roma have also had some difficulties this year.

“Against Atalanta I saw a team which deserved to win, and had eight chances to score, despite not playing out-of-this-world football.

“Against Roma we deserved to win, especially in the second half, but we didn’t make the most of our chances.

“Obviously, I’m not happy.

“We have to work to return to the the upper reaches of the table. Tomorrow we play in the Coppa to reach the final, the second in a row, and that would be a great achievement.”
