Lazar Samardzic has continued impressing with Udinese this season and Napoli have reportedly opened talks to explore a January move for the German.

The 20-year-old signed for the Udine club from RB Leipzig last year in a deal worth around €3m, adding a promising attacking midfielder to the Bianconeri squad. This season, Samardzic has scored three goals and provided one assist for Udinese, finding the back of the net against both Roma and Napoli.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Napoli have been in close contact with Udinese recently to discuss a possible move for Samardzic in January. They are willing to sell the 20-year-old but would prefer to keep him until the end of the season.

Further talks will be held soon and Napoli are confident that a deal can be reached, with the two clubs having a strong working relationship.

Samardzic has made four appearances for the Germany U21 squad and looks set to break into the senior team in the coming years.
