Napoli chief revenue officer Tommaso Bianchini confirmed that the club will not wear the ‘Keep Racism Out’ patch on their shirts following the ruling in the Francesco Acerbi case.

Serie A sports judge Gerardo Mastrandrea returned his verdict on Tuesday afternoon, finding the Inter defender not guilty of calling Napoli’s Juan Jesus a ‘n****r’ in the closing stages of their Serie A clash on March 17th.

The ruling has divided fans in Serie A, with some furious at the lack of a response and others rushing to defend Acerbi, who was acquitted due to a lack of concrete evidence in the case. Whilst Juan Jesus cannot appeal, he is within his right to pursue legal action.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Napoli’s chief revenue officer Bianchini briefly discussed the Keep Racism Out patch when unveiling the club’s new fourth and fifth shirts, confirming that “we will not put the ‘Keep Racism Out’ patch on our shirts against Atalanta”.

The Partenopei are providing support for Juan Jesus following the racism row and are expected to wear some special pre-match shirts against Atalanta.
