According to multiple reports in Italy, Napoli have opened talks with Fiorentina to sign Sofyan Amrabat.

The 25-year-old joined La Viola for €20m one year ago, but failed to impress in his first season at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, failing to score a goal or deliver an assist in 33 appearances in all competitions.

Amrabat can reportedly leave Fiorentina for an adequate offer and Napoli are one of the clubs interested in securing his services.

Both Sky Sport and Tuttomercatoweb report La Viola are open to selling the midfielder on a paid loan deal with an option to buy.

However, Fiorentina’s economic demands are quite high, so it can’t be taken for granted that the two clubs will reach an agreement.

Amrabat missed Fiorentina’s Serie A opener against Roma due to an injury.

  1. He’s a not bad mediano. Italiano would probably play him when he’s not injured with Pulgar so that Pulgar can be a proper regista with Bonaventura the trequartista
