Napoli are confident they’ve got a bargain agreeing a €15m deal with Fulham for Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa, with reports his transfer value has already doubled.
The midfielder turns 26 next week and arrived on loan for €600,000 on transfer deadline day, with an option to buy for €15m.
He made an immediate impact in Serie A and became a cast-iron regular in Luciano Spalletti’s line-up.
According to La Repubblica, Napoli are rubbing their hands with glee after agreeing the €15m option, because if they had tried to negotiate that deal just a few months later, Anguissa would’ve cost approximately double that sum.
The Cameroon international’s transfer value has soared to circa €25-30m after just 14 appearances in the Napoli jersey, between Serie A and the Europa League.
The Partenopei are currently joint top of the Serie A table with Milan, the only two clubs in Europe’s leading five leagues who are still unbeaten.
