Genoa President Enrico Preziosi says Napoli were “too late” to sign Mattia Perin, and is sad to see him on the Juventus bench.
The Partenopei were linked with the goalkeeper this summer, but he ultimately moved to Turin for €12m plus €3m in bonuses.
“We pointed out that there was the possibility of Perin, but Napoli were after [Bernd] Leno,” Preziosi confirmed on Radio Marte.
“The Azzurri even made a bigger offer than Juventus did, but by then it was done with the Bianconeri.
