Napoli are reportedly closing in on Empoli right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo, while a return for Fabio Quagliarella is also on the cards.

According to Italian daily newspaper Il Mattino, the Azzurri are looking for replacements for both Mario Rui and Elseid Hysaj.

Di Lorenzo’s name is among the many being linked with a move to the Stadio San Paolo.

The defender has had a breakout season and stated that he would be honoured to play for the Neapolitans in a recent interview.

Quagliarella could be set for an emotional return to his hometown club after both he and Partenopei President Aurelio De Laurentiis announced their willingness to make a deal.

Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul and Atalanta’s Josip Ilicic have also been talked about as potential summer signings for the Southern Club.
