Radja Nainggolan told Roma to “wake up” if they want to buy him on a permanent basis from Cagliari.

The midfielder is co-owned with the Sardinians and the deadline is looming for one or the other to buy up the remaining 50 per cent.

“I want to stay at Roma, but they are the ones who need to wake up,” Nainggolan is reported to have told fans as he left the training ground.

“I can’t exactly buy myself.”

There are numerous other clubs interested in the Belgium international, including Juventus, Manchester United and Liverpool.

Nainggolan’s future isn’t the only issue Roma have to discuss with Cagliari, as they also took Victor Ibarbo on loan with option to buy in January.

Davide Astori also arrived on a temporary basis with option last summer.
