Former Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan taunted Juventus fans while commenting on Romelu Lukaku’s latest Instagram post: ‘What did you expect there?’
Lukaku was shown a red card in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal at the Allianz Stadium on Tuesday. He received a second yellow card after converting a late penalty kick. His goal celebration was considered provocatory to the opposing fans even if Lukaku had been targeted by racist abuse.
The Belgian forward shared an Instagram post on Wednesday, asking for immediate action from Lega Calcio to avoid more racist incidents in the future.
Several players commented on the social media post, including former Inter midfielder and Lukaku’s compatriot Nainggolan.
The ex-Roma and Cagliari midfielder wrote in Italian: ‘What did you expect there?’
Nainggolan is known for not exactly being a Juventus lover having previously criticised the Serie A giants and their fans, claiming he refused to move to Turin multiple times despite the many offers received from the Old Lady.
