The midfielder was surprisingly dropped for the World Cup, but earned a recall thanks to his Serie A form and won over critics in last night’s win over Andorra.
“I think that was probably my best performance in a Belgium jersey, but it was normal by Roma standards and nothing more,” Nainggolan told reporters.
“The Coach spoke to me afterwards and now I feel he has confidence in me, so everything comes more easily as a result.”
