Yuto Nagatomo has admitted he would rather be playing Milan and not Palermo in the Coppa Italia Final.

The Rosanero will meet Inter in the May 29 tie after the two sides came through their semi-final clashes this week.

"I honestly expected to be facing the Rossoneri," said the defender after last night's 1-1 draw with Roma. "I was hoping for a bit of revenge…"

Nevertheless, although Inter's city rivals who last week won the Scudetto won't be their opponents, Nagatomo is eager to get his hands on a piece of Italian silverware.

"It will be my first Final in Italy and to win it in my first year with this team would also be a source of great personal satisfaction for me," said the January loan signing from Cesena.

"I'll be able to finish a season that I never expected would be at such a high level. But I play for Inter and the objective of this team is always to win."

The Japanese international also praised captain Javier Zanetti who played in his 1,000th game as a professional last night.

"He's very important for me, but he's actually very important for the whole team," continued the full-back.

"I have a special relationship with him. We room together and he always gives me valuable advice."
