Danilo is leading by example at Juventus after agreeing to a new contract, being one of many first team regulars who’ll stay in Turin regardless of the possible sporting sanctions on the horizon.

The Bianconeri have been unable to focus on their football this season as serious legal issues threaten the club. President Andrea Agnelli and the entire board of directors resigned last November as a result of the on-going Prisma investigation.

The Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office are investigating Juventus for alleged financial malpractice, namely the usage of falsified capital gains through inflated player transfer values and misleading the stock market with secret player wage agreements. The Old Lady were also handed a 15-point deduction by the FIGC court following a separate capital gains case.

As highlighted by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, a number of Juventus stars have no doubts about their futures in Turin and plan to stay with the club regardless of the possible sporting sanctions, which range from fines and point deductions to possibly even relegation.

Danilo was the frontrunner in this regard, agreeing to sign a new contract with Juventus. Midfielders Fabio Miretti, Nicolo Fagioli and Manuel Locatelli have all attracted interest from other clubs but are not interested in a move away.

Federico Chiesa, Mattia Perin and Arkadiusz Milik are three more who want to stay in Turin next season, with the Polish striker’s purchase from Olympique Marseille all but a formality now.
