Jose Mourinho says Roma have ‘no other option’ but to keep using their strongest XI in Serie A and the Conference League, as they face Napoli this evening.

It kicks off at 18.00 UK time (17.00 GMT), you can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from this game and Atalanta-Verona on the LIVEBLOG.

There are very few changes from the XI that beat Bodo/Glimt 4-0 in the Conference League quarter-final on Thursday, so do Roma risk fatigue?

“It will be difficult to maintain that intensity, but we don’t have any other option. Every point is important in Serie A, the semi-final in the Conference League is in two weeks’ time,” Mourinho told DAZN.

“We are positive, we have faith in the players on the bench, they can always give us something. It’s a difficult match, important for both teams.”

Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw by Bologna, but Mourinho has always insisted Roma aren’t aiming for a top four finish.

“I continue to say the same, I think Juve are too strong to leave fourth place and fall away in these final weeks of the season. We challenge for somewhere between fifth and eighth.”

Mourinho was good friends with Diego Armando Maradona and on Sunday visited the mural dedicated to Diego in the streets of Naples.

“This had nothing to do with football. He was a man. He was a friend. Every time I come back to Naples, I will visit the mural, but it was not about football.”
