Jose Mourinho is infuriated with Roma’s last two games and expects an important reaction from his squad in their Europa League clash against Real Betis.

The Giallorossi edged out a 2-1 win over Inter after the international break but looked poor in their following game, a painful 2-1 loss at home to Betis. This was followed up by an uninspiring win over Lecce, a match that left Mourinho angry despite the three points. The Portuguese coach is concerned about the team’s drop in form and has started to raise the tension in Trigoria.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sports, Mourinho has been incredibly active during Roma’s training sessions over the last week, frequently interrupting sessions to reprimand those who miss a move or misplace a pass. He does not want the drop in focus to continue and is trying to keep his squad on edge.

Mourinho also wants to see a good response from his most trusted players, a key factor following the freak injury to Paulo Dybala. Lorenzo Pellegrini, Tammy Abraham, Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante are all expected to show something extra for Roma in the coming games.
