Sky Sport Italia last night suggested that the striker's entourage would be in Italy on Tuesday to meet with Juventus director general Beppe Marotta.

Aguero has publicly revealed that he wants to leave Atletico and Juventus have shown an interest in the player.

However, it is unclear whether Aguero would be willing to join a club who have failed to qualify for European football next season.

However, it is unclear whether Aguero would be willing to join a club who have failed to qualify for European football next season.

The Spanish side's valuation of the Argentine international is also a potential stumbling block.

Aguero has a €45m release clause inserted into his contract and although that clause is redundant outside of Spain, that is still the figure that Atletico want.

The South American put pen to paper on a new deal with the Spanish outfit in January, an agreement which expires in 2014.

Juventus did initially meet the 22-year-old's agent in Turin last month before sending a fax to Atletico confirming their interest.

Aguero, whose father in law is Diego Maradona, joined Atletico in 2006 from Independiente and has netted over 100 goals for the outfit.

Real Madrid are also thought to be an option for the forward.
