The Diavolo have drawn their last two games against Fiorentina and Napoli which has seen them fail to overtake the second-placed Azzurri.

“We have to try to keep this position,” he told Milan Channel. “We have four points over Fiorentina and we are four behind Napoli.

“We were hoping to beat Napoli on Sunday so as to move closer to them in the table, but we didn't manage that. They played very well and they are a very good team.

“It was a pity, but the points we are really missing are not those from Sunday night but those from Florence where we threw away two clear points. But we have to just look ahead.”

“It will be a very tough match but we will try to win because we are Milan and we always try to win every match.”
