Adana Demirspor coach Vincenzo Montella could well remain in Turkey with reports he has reached an agreement to take over at Fenerbahce.

The former Roma, Catania, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Milan and Sevilla tactician has been with Adana Demirspor since September 2021 and his contract is due to expire on June 30.

According to Turkish news site DHA, President Ali Koc met with Montella several days ago and they have reached a full agreement on personal terms.

A formal announcement could even be imminent with the Italian presented as their new coach.

Fenerbahce are looking towards Italy and Serie A for several reinforcements, as it is also confirmed by multiple sources that the club offered Inter striker Edin Dzeko a two-year contract worth a reported €4.5m per season in wages.

The 37-year-old Bosnia international will be a free agent when his current deal with Inter expires on June 30 and is giving the proposal some serious thought.
