He was presented to the media this morning as Samp Coach for the first time, but warned that January transfer talk is ‘premature’.
“As a Coach, I don’t feel superior to Sampdoria,” he said at today’s Press conference.

“As a Coach, I don’t feel superior to Sampdoria,” he said at today’s Press conference.
“I’m very happy to be here and my intention is to grow with the squad without limiting ourselves.
“I think this is the club that allows me first of all to arrive to training smiling.
“I’ve had many thoughts, not only about Cassano, but in general that need to merge into a single thought. Antonio is a talent who could be an added value.
“The objective is to remain in the top half of the table. We must grow and have ambitions but be realistic.
“Fiorentina and I parted in the right way – in the most intelligent and educated manner. We had three wonderful years where we developed together, but like every relationship it finishes.
“Eder and Muriel are two very strong players, very skilled. One could improve more than the other with potential, but my task is to get them to their best.
“I haven’t asked for anything in January because I don’t know the team. The desire of me and the President is to be ambitious but for now it seems premature to talk about this.
“I generally don’t like sending messages, but the bond with the fans is strong. The love and passion for this sport brings us closer.
“From my part there will be maximum participation in this work and, as always, the fans will be close to the team. The message is to enjoy ourselves together.”
