“I’ve learned the hard way that being a Coach also means dealing with gossip,” Montella told Agon Channel when asked about the Milan rumours.

“I’ve learned the hard way that being a Coach also means dealing with gossip,” Montella told Agon Channel when asked about the Milan rumours.
“If you do well you’re linked with other clubs, for now it’s absolutely just rumours. As for my future in Florence, every one of us has to figure out where we want to go.
“In three years we’ve done amazing things and achieved important victories even if it’s without winning a trophy.
“Now we have to understand whether we want to pursue a trophy, in which case some extra resources will be required, or to try and do what we’re doing now and try to get more satisfaction from that.
“That said, we’re competing on three fronts, and we’ll try to go all the way, because we’ve been doing important things even if we haven’t achieved anything yet.”
One of the catalysts of the Tuscan side’s recent performances has been Mohamed Salah, who arrived from Chelsea as part of the Juan Cuadrado deal.
“Salah is a player who had already showed what he could do on the international scene. However, no-one expected him to make an impact so quickly, it’s been a pleasant surprise.
“We knew his potential, though, as we’d seen him do great things, especially with Basel.”
