Inter have been dealt a blow for Luka Modric after Real Madrid called up the midfielder for Wednesday’s European Super Cup clash.
Inter had been hopeful of bringing in Modric, but reports in Spain over the weekend seemingly put pay to that, claiming Madrid would tie him down to a new contract.
The Croat had already made a cameo against Milan in the International Champions Cup, and he will now travel as a member of Los Blancos’ 29-man squad to Tallinn.

He could face countryman Nikola Kalinic as Atletico Madrid are his side’s opponents for the usual August fare between the Champions League and Europa League holders.
