If Milan miss out on Champions League qualification for next season, it is calculated they will be losing circa €45m of revenue.

The Rossoneri have slipped down the Serie A standings after a series of heavy defeats, the latest being the Derby della Madonnina against Inter.

Lazio were held by Verona today, so Stefano Pioli’s men remain in joint fifth place, but only one point off the Aquile in fourth.

Nonetheless, the prospect of failing to get a top four finish this season has to be faced and Calcio e Finanza calculate just how damaging that could be to their finances.

Milan returned to the Champions League in 2021-22 for the first time in seven years and went out in the group stage, but still managed to pocket €45m.

This season, they managed to qualify for the Round of 16 and will face Tottenham Hotspur next week in the first leg.

With that progress and the victories earned in the group phase, the Diavolo will bring home at least €52m.

Calcio e Finanza calculate that even if they were to lose every group game, Milan would still pick up €30.61m just for reaching the Champions League next season.

This does not take into account revenue from the stadium and three home matches.
