Inter defender Joao Miranda is reportedly foregoing his holiday to ensure he’s fit after the winter break.

The centre-back has been out since the 1-0 loss to Sassuolo on December 23 with a calf injury, having been substituted after eighty minutes of that defeat.

Andrea Ranocchia is now also injured, so Milan Skriniar is the Nerazzurri’s only fit central defender.

As a result, reports Gazzetta dello Sport, Miranda will give up his holiday, when he’d have returned to Brazil, to work to be back for the Roma game.

Given that a calf injury is a delicate one no risks will be taken, and Miranda will be monitored day-by-day, but the defender will do everything to be available after the winter break.
