Sergej Milinkovic-Savic celebrated his goal as Lazio beat Genoa 4-2 to set up a Coppa Italia revenge mission against Inter.

“We started well, scoring two goals and earning a penalty, but it was not good to concede two goals quickly. We need to improve on that,” the Serbian midfielder told Rai Sport.

The two substitutes off the bench, Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile, were both on target to secure the victory after the first half ended 2-2.

“I feel good now, better than last season, and I play more often, so I am really enjoying my football.”

Lazio go up against Inter in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, just a month after their defeat at San Siro in Serie A.

Before that, on Sunday the Aquile visit leaders Juventus.

“This is another opportunity with Inter, we have to do better this time. Juventus are strong at home, but we’ve won three in a row now and want to give it our best.”
