According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan want to loan Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech in January, adding an option to buy in the summer, the same strategy used to sign Fikayo Tomori almost two years ago.

The Rossoneri have monitored the Morocco international for a long time and are expected to make their move in January.

Ziyech is struggling with playing time at Stamford Bridge and has refused to rule out a possible January exit while on international duty in Qatar. “It’s hard to make any sort of hypothesis in football,” he said at a press conference.

According to Gazzetta, Milan want to get the player on loan in January, adding an option to buy in the summer.

It’s the same formula used to sign Fikayo Tomori almost two years ago. The English centre-back initially joined the Rossoneri from Chelsea on a temporary deal before completing a permanent transfer in the summer of 2021.

Chelsea and Milan directors are on good terms after completing several deals over the last few years.

The Premier League giants are interested in Milan’s Rafael Leao, but according to reports in Italy, Ziyech won’t be involved in a potential player-plus-cash swap deal to lower Leao’s price tag.
