Reports from England claim that Milan are interested in signing Callum Wilson from Newcastle United on a definitive transfer this month.

The Rossoneri looked for a new centre forward in the January transfer window, needing a long-term replacement for Olivier Giroud, but they ultimately settled for the backup option Noah Okafor. As such, they’re still keeping an eye out for a new number nine.

Newcastle have been at the centre of attention in the transfer market in recent weeks, with Bayern Munich trying to make a move for Kieran Trippier and Saudi side Al-Shabab working on a deal for Miguel Almiron. Club CEO Darren Eales recently told the press that ‘every player has their price’.

As reported by Craig Hope of the Daily Mail, Milan are looking to sign Wilson and could tempt him away from Newcastle on a definitive transfer, with the striker open to the idea of making the jump to Serie A.

The 31-year-old, who has 18 months left on his contract with the Magpies, started the season well, scoring seven goals in his first nine Premier League appearances before hamstring and calf injuries disrupted his campaign.
